| 1. Introduction |
| WRI-SAC01 Street Lamp Controller is specially designed and developed
for solar street lamp. |
| The controller has the following functions: Controlling the process of solar cell charges up storage battery and process of storage battery discharges the loads, ray-control starter, and time switch. Its main features is the adoption of SOC control methods to control the whole discharge process of storage battery close-loop, which makes loads adapt with the electrical conditions of storage battery. Therefore, through using controller, it avoids over discharge of storage battery on the basis of the reliability and safety of the system, which effectively lengthen the life span of storage battery |

| 4. Control method and Description |
Controller adopts ray-control technology to turn on lights, time switch to turn off lights.Timer is controlled by thread take-up. The optional lights-on periods are available: 4, 6,8, 10, 12 hours. |

5. Main features
The combination of timer and SOC discharge control
The controller has functions of street lamps light-on timing set and residual capacity
(SOC) discharge process control, which insures the lights on every night. So it can make
up the weakness when it is continually cloudy sky, the lights are not on due to the over
discharge of storage battary. It improves the reliability of lamps greatly.
Long life span
With the use of SOC discharge process control, it insures the storage battery under the
condition of floating charge-up; namely, the residual capacity of storage battery is not
less than 40% (Depth of discharge not more than 60%). So it lengthens greatly the life
span of storage battery.

6. Instruction and steps of the installation

7. The steps of installation:
1. Open the little strip of the board, and set the system voltage, single lamp/couple lamps,
the mode of timing according to the above mentioned control methods and description.
2. Check whether the fuse is installed well or not.
3. Connect the anode and cathode of storage battery. After connected, the green LED
lamp is shining, which means the controller is working well.
4. Then connect the anode and cathode of solar battery and loads (lights) separately.
5. Cover the small strip at the down end of the panel. The installation is completed.
Especially note: when connecting, please never let the burrs of lead wire
exposed, and be sure that the anode and the cathode don’t in short circuit. |
8. Disposal of the controller’s board and instructions of the terminal block:
1. There are three LED lamps on the top right corner of the board
The “over charge” LED lamp is the yellow one, when the lamp is on; it means the
storage battery is at the state of over charge.
The “at work” LED lamp is the green one, when this lamp is flashing; it means the
controller is at work.
The “over discharge” LED lamp is the red one, when it is on; it means the controller is
at the state of over discharge.
2 . Definitions of the 8 terminal blocks at the down position on the board are as follows: |

The two terminal blocks on the most left are to connect with the anode and cathode of
the solar panel
The third and forth ones connect with the anode and cathode of the storage battery.
The fifth and the sixth ones are for the inverter or DC lamp.
The last two extremes are connected to inverter or DC lamp.
3. The “manual switch” on the top right is for exhibition, or on holidays to turn on the light by
hand when not necessary to wait until dark.
4. The “restoration key” on right down is for the function of restoration, which is used to
check the whole system.

the storage battery, solar battery and the load. |
